Copy, right!!!!

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

After having another difficult week dealing with copyright infringers I realise that there are many people who do not have any idea what copyright means.

Simply because an image can be seen on the computer screen does not mean it can be right clicked, downloaded and used to produce anything from jewelery items to my all time favourite collage sheets, lets spread around the infringement even more!

The image above is available as a print if you would like one, for a small fee:)

Digital images for sale

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Once upon a time when digital collage images were first available they were simple  images of elements that could be used by a creative designers to collage together something unique.

Unfortunately it has now turned into an industry where completed designs are now mass produced for gift tags, aceos and cards.

This may well suit those who are unable to create a design for themselves but what becomes really irritating is when designers work is imitated copied and mass produced by the bucket load.

New shops on line opening daily with more and more and more of the same…

Once unique designs worked on for hours become imitated and reduced in value as a consequence.

There seems to be no respect for uniqueness for originality or copyright for that matter.

Do not store up treasures for yourself here on earth where thieves break in and steal…

I love this quote from the scriptures but it is nevertheless very upsetting when the internet thieves have been at it again stealing my images and reselling them, watermark still visible!

Yes, they even like to advertise the fact the work is stolen!!!!

It is hard enough to swallow the fact that my designs are frequently copied but taking the images from my website is just too much.

I put hours of work into designing and illustrating these mannequins to create original pieces unique to my shops

“Bricks and Mortar” shops display their goods for sale in shop front window displays, they do not expect the windows to be smashed and the products stolen.

No more do I expect my work to be stolen from my on line shop front display.

So if you see this image for sale anywhere but in my etsy shops please let me know.

Thank you to those who do respect the talents, property and  rights of others:)  Wendy
